Whenever I visit a new place, I enjoy looking beyond the food. Because some places stand out for their food, while others have a story to tell through the surroundings. Sometimes the little details around a place make the experience more interesting. That’s what I found during my visit to the cafe Snacky Spot in Mirpur, Dhaka.
Interior That Represents
What I liked most This cafe’s interior reflects Dhaka’s urban landscape, public transport, Mirpur’s neighborhood culture, people and the streets, and Bangla typography and expression. Also a customized map that shows real surroundings and routes and the exact location to visit this place.
Seating and Atmosphere
There is a large table with high chairs provided so that you can sit back with your snacks and enjoy some quality time with your friends. The colorful posters and city-inspired artwork make this place to look around. I found it an interesting place for causal conversation and to take photos.
What We Tried
Singara Shot: 50 Taka
Samosa Shots: 60 Taka
Snacky Wedges: 80 Taka BDT
I also liked the way the snack presentation looked. The food looked attractive and unique, so that made the usual snack time experience a bit different.
My food rating: 8.5/10
Meaningful Moment that Made the Visit Special
Sometimes I enjoyed it more than I expected. I was introducing my friend to the Local Guides Community. I gave my friend the idea, shared my journey, and encouraged him to contribute on Google Maps. This makes me really happy that he started contributing. Meet my friend @AsifPranto .
For me, being part of the Local Guides Community is not just about collecting contributions; it is also about sharing knowledge, learning from other fellow guides, and encouraging more people to take part.
