I am Savita resident of Mauritius but not citizen, thats the reason I dont take anything for granted that this beautiful country has to offer. be it clean pollution free oxygen, be it clean H2O i mean water or be it the beautiful beaches and sunshine throughout the year. the island also have beautiful mountain peaks with different names like le-pouce (the thumb shape mountain), troi-mammels (the 3 peak mountain like women breast) etc…this Island also have a jungle of rivers connecting the whole island.
so these are the cause I care about sharing on google maps. most people in the world either dont know where Mauritius is and if they know they know that it is a beautiful island for honeymoon.
it is much much more than that. this country which falls in African continent is nothing like African countries. here we have stable governments and elections every 5 years. the country doesn’t have history like old civilizations Indus, Greek or Persian but still it have a history of 400 years with European, African, Asian, footprints. it is a cosmos world in itself where people speaks 12 languages including English, french, Hindi, Mandarin(Chinese), Arabic, creole, etc.
there are around 190 heritage sites which are like temples for Mauritian. they obey trafic rules and pay taxes for the betterment of the island.
i want whole world to know that this island is much more than just beaches. but I dont mind if tourists came with the love for beaches and I with the help of google maps can help you explore much more of the island.
