Sharing Friendship Gifts

First Part: I am going to describe in parts my Connect Live experiences.

Happy to bring out this post at part of #Connect Live, 2025 held recently in Bangalore. It is a wonderful feel to talk about friendship and I take prevelege to emphasize here that this Local Guides Community has given me many many wonderful friends. This was very much relevant during the event.

This post is regarding the gifts shared among friends. The moment I received invitation mail, the first thing came to my mind is that, I am going to see my friends. I should make make something special, all by myself to give them. Since I am an Artist, I am good in making origami flowers. So I thought I should make origami flowers.

I made flowers with Google colours and Indian Flag tricolor. I made more than 100 flowers to give to all Local Guides. Below is the arrangement of flowers on floor like a Rangoli. The flowers in the centre are given to Women Local Guides meetup by @Globe_trotter_Ish

To my surprise I saw in Google Office description about Google Colours, in relation to sustainability.

Display of flowers during the event.

In the picture above the quote emphasize sustainability “the installation represents the Google colors, which was derived from natural dyes.

Raw materials like the linen sheets and wires were used for the installation which were upcycled, and hand made with a sustainable process.”

Googe Maps

I always insist and teach my students about sustainability. That’s why I made these flowers to my Local Guide friends.

The floral patterns behind me little resembled my flowers. It takes 15 to 20 minutes to make each flower.

I felt happy that I could share to all the Local Guides. They all liked my flowers and they wore on the reception evening.

I made the flowers with Google star and Google colours. The above picture is me and @TinaWill My next part Happiness through Connect Live continues with the gifts I received. See you all with my gifts received.
