This 12th century monument is a one of a kind in the region, if you pass by the Gordes town, you need to pay a visit there.
You can park there I always find available spots even during summer.
You can see and admire the typical roman architecture of this beautiful abbey, and the cute square garden inside.
What I like about the surroundings is the silence, there is no living soul around except tourists who come to visit the site (no resorts or restaurant so nature and wilderness are preserved here).
The only structure around is a small abandonned farm (ferme de la Debroussede)
You can smell lavanda perfume all around as they have several lavanda fields, such as this huge one.
