Since the official Google Street View app has been retired, I am struggling to find a reliable way to capture high-quality 360-degree photos using only my smartphone. I have tried some third-party apps like ‘Panorama 360’, but the results often look like a thin strip or have stitching issues.
Could you please suggest the best workflow or any recommended mobile tools for a Level 8 guide to contribute professional-standard 360° imagery directly to Google Maps? Also, are there any updates on when ‘Road Mapper’ signups might reopen for dedicated contributors?

Street view বা ৩৬০ ডিগ্রির ছবি তোলা এটিকে বর্তমানে গুগল ম্যাপের আলাদা একটু ডিপার্টমেন্ট যারা এখন কোয়ালিটি ফুল কন্ট্রিবিউশন কিংবা বিজনেসের জন্য তারা ইন্ডাস্ট্রিয়াল ডিভাইস সমর্থন করে, যেমন থ্রি সিক্সটি বিভিন্ন ক্যামেরা রয়েছে যেটা আপনি স্টেট ভিউ সাইটে গেলে জানতে পারবেন।
অনেক মোবাইলে ৩৬০ ডিগ্রি ছবি তোলা গেল সেগুলো এখন আর গুগল উৎসাহী না ব্যবহার করার জন্য ইমেজ কোয়ালিটি এবং সেগুলোর স্লট ঠিক না থাকার কারণে। এবং মোবাইল থেকে নেভিগেশন বা ডিরেকশন কানেক্ট করাও বেশ একটা জটিল প্রক্রিয়া এবং ল্যাপটপ বা ডেক্সটপ থেকে করা যায়।

After the closure of the Street View App, normally I take spherical photos with my Pixel 7 phone.

The app is available on the Play store but I can’t guarantee that is available for every type of phone

I also have a 360° camera, but in some cases, like the ones I shared with you, they didn’t give me the permission for using a tripod.
So I switched to my phone, and the results is very good
Street View
I think that first of all we need to clarify that Street View actually only refers to a sequence of connected photos at street level, normally known also as “blue lines”.
In the past the blue lines were generated by a sequence of connected photospheres. With the evolution of the technology everything changed, and now to create a blue line we capture a video with a 360° camera and we Upload it using Street View Studio
This is possible also with consumers camera. Here below a couple of Street View created by me in 2018 and in 2021 using a Ricoh ThetaV
Virtual Tours
Connected photospheres can be used to create “virtual tours”, where the photos are connected using a third party software. The visual effect is similar to Street View but the technique to create it is completely different. Most of the platform to connect photospheres are for desktop only, but you can find also some app to do that.
In conclusion, it’s possible to create virtual tours also from mobile, even if it’s a bit less intuitive and difficult to create the correct alignment, due to the small screen
