@Ant_Bad_Yogi awesome Ant, nice to meet you! Would you be interested in a Thailand meet up? We would be with 3 persons already including you. If we can find more, we could have a first Thailand meet up one day.
Then maybe @doc_dells@AdrianLunsong can join too perhaps some other people as well if we could do it in a place that is easy for connections such as Phuket or Bangkok.
That would be lovely, @Stphn Definitely I can invite other Indonesian Local Guides to Thailand once the dates are confirmed. Indonesians love visiting Thailand, especially Bangkok!
We will have Indonesian Meetup: Meet Up Nusantara (MUN 5) is happening in Bali this September!
Couldn’t agree more @Stphn , we should definitely prepare in advance. @AdrianLunsong , thanks for the inspiration! We actually used your thread as the basis for this initial ASIA Meetup @RivaniRahmadani
True @doc_dells ! Perhaps a good plan for 2027 to get everything arranged. A mastermind and master-planner such as @AdrianLunsong would be great to organize a meet up similar to the EuroMeetup.
I was actually in Phuket last month with a group of friends for a birthday celebration. I was busy/exhausted leading up to the trip, that I didn’t even think of reaching out to the community!
@doc_dells If we set up a SEA region meet-up maybe we can get MUN organisers to host the first one? You all are experts at it (I’ve seen the recap posts!!). But that means 2027 will have two events in Indonesia? Plausible.
Great idea @AdrianLunsong ! I honestly don’t have the time to fully organize a meet-up this size, but would be happy to assist and share knowledge where needed. @doc_dells
Brilliant idea! The MUN team has the passion for sure. Even though the organizers change each time, I’ll start the conversation with the local team to see if a SEA Meetup is viable. Hosting two big events in one year is a lot, unless we combine them, MUN featuring the SEA Meetup! Let’s aim high!
