We all take pride in visiting many places across the world, explore as a tourist, eat our favourite food etc. and then adding reviews and photos while sharing our experiences on Google Maps.
It makes the whole experience even more worthwhile when we see that the owner of a POI has seen a review and took time to reply. I would like to share one such instance today where I got a reply to a review of Hotel Maple Ridge.
Thanks @MortenCopenhagen Yes the long response got me thinking too initially. I believe it could be AI at work, and maybe the business has hired a marketing team to check their social media and Maps profiles.
I’ve gotten a few of these replies, but it is rare @Ssiddharth2000. Some businesses don’t appear to actively monitor their Google Maps entries. Perhaps it’s just the ones that create or claim their listing. Some other Maps POIs are created initially by us Local Guides, and the business owners aren’t even aware nor interested in following up, so their reviews are not even seen by them.
Keep up the good work. Hope there will be more replies like that.
I have the same impression when I get response from a bigger hotel. They don’t necessarily need to “hire” a team for that, since many hotels already have one or more employees responsible for customer relations since a long time.
