When I zoom a specific location on road editor satellite images won’t load. I tried both Safari and Chrome. It has been about 3 weeks since I first encountered this. Any fix? Thank you.

Hi @eclogue
I’m unable to reproduce the issue you reported.
This is what I see in the road editor when zoomed in at

Is the problem still there for you?

It seems the issue is due to a regional satellite imagery ban, as I can zoom in on other countries without any problem. The satellite images were already blurred during navigation, and now it appears Google has extended this blurring to the road editor as well. This is unfortunate for both contributors and users, as Google Maps is the only provider in Turkiye that blurs satellite imagery.
It would be very helpful if you would always use the tagging tool when replying to someone here on Connect. Type @ followed by the username. Type slowly. Then we get an e-mail notification and you are more likely to get a prompt reply. Just hitting Reply does not ensure we get notified by email.
Sometimes local authorities demand Google Maps not show detailed satellite and arial photos maybe because they fear they can be helpful to teorists. That might be what you are experiencing.
Google will never discuss this publicly.
So, I guess you are unable to see what I showed you in my screenshot?
Have you tried using a VPN?
Cheers
Morten
