Saraswati Puja Celebrations

Saraswati Puja is an annual festival in India. On this day one worships the Goddess of Learning. This day falls on the 5th day of month ‘Magh’ of the Hindu calendar. This date falls in the months of January or February. This festival is celebrated by all Indians, majorly students. People pray to Goddess Saraswati for wisdom & wit.

All schools observe holiday to celebrate this day and students and teachers engage in cultural activities.

I have always celebrated this festival with vigour and enthusiasm. Since last decade, I have started to decorate the table at my home where we place the goddess’s idol. It’s small table of 30x20 inches but I decorate it with passion and different theme every year.

This year I created a miniature model of a school which I named Know & Grow.
