Sarabba from Makassar Indonesia #monthly topic of January

I want to write about SARABBA drink from Makassar.

ingredients

  1. 4 sdm gula aren
  2. 10 buah lada hitam
  3. 5 buah cengkeh
  4. 1 ruas jahe
  5. 5 cm kayu manis
  6. 300 ml air
  7. 1 sdm fiber cream
  8. 1 lembar daun pandan
  9. Egg

How to make it

Boil all ingredients except fiber cream and cook until sugar dissolves and boils (cook over low heat, stirring only)

Then add the fiber cream, stir well, let it boil again, then turn off the stove

Prepare a serving glass, then strain the medium. And ready to serve

This hot drink is very popular is Makassar. It’s a good companion for hanging out in the night just like in Losari Beach .

I enjoyed Sarabba with Pisang Epe when I was in Losari Beach.

Have you tried Pisang Epe? Do you like it?

I’ve ever bought an instant sarabba from Makassar. Next time it would be good to make it by myself :slightly_smiling_face:
