what is your best trip on weekends?
Browsing through Google Maps and the list of places I wanted to go (I have a list on my notes for the same. haha…) I found about Saputara which was just on the Maharashtra - Gujarat border. 150Kms from the Surat. We started our journey early morning at 4 am towards Saputara which is around 150-160kms from Surat. Saputara is a nice hill station place for weekend family trip.
Saputara is situated in the Dang district of Gujarat. This beautiful hill station is situated at an elevation of about 1000m above sea level. It is located on a plateau in the Dang forest area. Adding to the beauty of Saputara is the River Sarpganga which flows through the town. The hill retreat is situated about 80kms from Nashik (Maharashtra), 112kms from Bilimora (Gujarat), 172kms from Surat (Gujarat), 280kms from Mumbai (Maharashtra), 300kms from Vadodara (Gujarat) and 420kms from Ahmedabad (Gujarat). The temperature in summer goes up to a maximum of 32°C and a minimum of 27°C. In winter, on the other hand, the temperature remains between 16°C and 10°C. Saputara in monsoon receives an average rainfall (from July to September) of 254 cm.
On the Road, we got some spare time to make bhelpuri. which is a local dish of snacks made up of Murmurs and onions, tomatoes and spicy chutneys. I remember this thing. and I shot one picture of the bhel plate when it was ready. I was there because I want to make a cinematic video of saputara.

This place is heavenly blessed with the scenes and views. as a photographer, I can definitely say that the landscape I found there was like just so amazing and mesmerizing. there was so much raining and almost everything was foggy. you barely can see far from 10 feet. it was raining heavily but the peace I got there was so well. this is the place you must visit once.
There are so many places in Saputara Town. I suggest you Visit this place in Monsoon. Because local Saputara Tribal Communities Celebrates Monsoon Festival every year which are like most wonderful events to be experienced.
