Sacred Heart Church, Victoria Layout, Bangalore, Karnataka India

Sacred Heart is a popular Catholic church in Bangalore city, whose existence in India is linked to French origin. Sacred Heart Church is a historic church located in the heart of Bangalore near the corner of Richmond Road and Mother Teresa Road in the Victoria Layout at D’Souza Circle, Bangaluru.

The architecture is based on the famous French Gothic style. Started with a bungalow by the Fathers of Paris Foreign Mission Society, the foundation of the present church was laid in 1893. I really liked the spiritual and peaceful atmosphere of Sacred Heart Church. The twin-spired building is a splendid example of Gothic architecture. The Holy Mass is celebrated every day in Tamil, Kannada and English languages in this church. The front facade has a picture of Jesus Christ showing his heart to St. Margaret Alacoque and the prayer hall has a beautifully decorated altar and statues of Infant Jesus and St. Mother Teresa in the rear.

It has sufficient parking space in the Church compound and easily accessible from every corner of Bangaluru by any means either by own vehicle, or by public transport including Namma Metro.
