Sacchiyay Mata also known as Indrani, located on a hill in Osian, Rajasthan is a very famous temple built in the 8th century.
There is a staircase leading to the main sanctum sanctorum. Complete staircase is having toran dwar means arches supported by stone pillars. These arches are richly carved through which visitors have to pass.
The main temple entrance, mandap, ceiling of the shikhara, stone pillars on which the structure rests display excellent craftsmanship and exclusively decorated with images and other icons. After the darshan of Mata, I climbed the stairs to the roof of the mandap and saw the sandstone carved shikhara and other carvings there.
As Osiyan remains an ancient Trade Capital and City was deserted after attacks but Sacchiyay mataji remains a great attraction among the Hindus and Jains and they perform their specific rituals. For visitors there are arrangements like washrooms, drinking water, resting areas etc. It’s one of the most popular attractions.
