Caption Saat Kaman Champaner Pavagarh Archaeological Park Gujrat India.
After winning Champaner Pavagadh, Sultan Mahmud Begada made it the capital of the Gujarat Sultanate and built important historical buildings. These amazing examples of architecture are world heritage today and maintained by the Department of Archeology ei ASI. On the way from Champaner to Pavagadh, this monument is called the Saat Kaman is located.
We parked the car and entered the historical monument and a heritage where security guard was present. And it is a protected monument of national importance. Saat Kaman means Seven Arches which are built by stones, one of which has been lost. This Architectural monument is an example of amazing workmanship. The stones are cut in such a way that they have continued to join together neither square nor rectangular. The use of mortar between two stones has also been almost nil. And these stones stand as beautiful Arches. The shape of the main stone is wide at the top and narrow at the bottom similar to a wedge, which is a key stone. The appearance of windows between the walls of the fort which are rectangular in shape and large niches is in the shape of Arches. From here the view of the surrounding area looks very beautiful. The scenic view of the heritage forest below is captivating. There are remnants of a palace nearby seems to be sunk into the ground. It seems that this seven were built by the king before Sultan Mehmood Begada. It is situated at the edge of the lower hill between Saddan Shah and Budhia Gate of Pavagadh.
It’s a major attraction among the history buffs wanderers soulseekers art and architecture lovers heritage lovers etc. It needs half an hour to enjoy this beautiful monument. Nearest attractions are Sat Manzil a stepped bastion and Mint where the currency was Casted.
