There are many kind of bread in Russia. But most of all we like round loaf.
It looked cool! Hope it tastes nice @helga19
Hi @helga19
These picture looks really nice, did you take it from your local baker? In Italy bread is a serious thing, and every Region has a special and unique variety. Where I was born, for example, the most common one is focaccia, a super fragrant bread with holes filled up with extra virgin olive oil.
Thanks,dear @Sorbe for your reply.
Yes,I take my photo on local bakery.
It is interesting for me to watch at focassia and certainly to taste it. I am going to Italy to Treviso in November. I would like to taste this nice bread.
Best wishes,
Inga
Hey @helga19
You will definitely have the chance to try amazing local specialities, but unfortunately not focaccia. @ErmesT will be the perfect person to guide you in the choice.
How do you know that I am a bread lover, @Sorbe ?
In any case, you are right.
Italy have a huge variety of bread, @helga19 , every type from a different area. Focaccia is not a product typical of Treviso area. We will be for sure able to find it, but it will not be the original one.
Funny things about bread: yesterday I was shopping on a grocery on San Francisco bay area, and I was looking for something similar to Italian bread. They show me a couple of type bread, and when I asked for more details the reply was “they seem the same, but they are not”. In fact, it is exactly like this. Remember to me this, when you come in November, and we will go to visit some “panificio”. It will be amazing

@ErmesT just tried my luck, but with a few empirical statistic skills. Very few Italians don’t like bread or wine. I have realized how lucky we are in that sense since I moved abroad.
Wow!
Thanks dear @ErmesT It will be a nice expierence to taste different type of bread with olive oil and wine!)
I suppose that rye bread you have not in Italy.)
oh…dear @ErmesT , @Sorbe & @helga19 ,
