Royal Host, A restaurant that always provides warm service

Royal Host is one of my favorite restaurants.

It’s a chain of restaurants from my hometown, Fukuoka, so my parents often took me there when I was a child.

I like sizzling dishes like onion gratin soup, so I used to burn my tongue.

I often go to the one in Musashisakai in Tokyo with my sister.

I have a JAL (Japan Air Line) credit card and they have a partnership.

So I’m glad to collect miles when I use the JAL card to pay.

Royal Host has a service where people can register as members by signing up with their email.

If you become a member, you will get a 10% discount every time you eat there.

You will also get an electronic coupon if you add your and your family members birthdays.

You can get 20% off on birthdays, up to three times a year. For example, I was born in December, my sister was born in August, and my mother was born in February.

In that case, we get a meal in December, August, and February for 20% off.

The Royal Host will send emails to registered members when introducing new menus or when the store suddenly closes.

Unfortunately, because of the coronavirus, most restaurants in Japan are closed until May 6th.

Therefore, Royal Host closed many of its restaurants until May 6th, but they notified by email that the takeaway menu will continue.

But it actually wasn’t their last email.

The next day, they emailed to tell me that people who were born in April could still claim their discount in May.

And the next day, they sent me an email with a takeout menu with a lot of really good looking photos.

Furthermore, the next day, it was announced that the take-out menu would be available at 20% off for everyone until May 6th.

Finally, the next day, they announced that they were selling frozen food online, for customers who were too busy to come to the store.

I felt like I had to go to this store, so I went to the restaurant to buy their special lunch boxes today.

You can order at the store, but I prefer to make a reservation by phone in advance because after I hang up the phone, they cook the food I want to buy so I can collect it after I arrive at the restaurant.

I had the lunch box with my sister for lunch, and it was as delicious as the meal at the restaurant.

There are many kinds of lunch boxes, so my sister said she would like to eat another one tomorrow.

I heard restaurants are closed because of the Coronavirus.

That’s tough, so I think switching to take-out is necessary for them to survive.

Royal Host’s sales efforts are great.

And at the shop I went, a handwritten thank-you card was attached.

It made me feel very warm.
