When you draw roads in Road Mapper, connecting to an existing road stops the drawing automatically. This works smoothly every time.
However, when you draw a road to the edge of the challenge frame, the tool does not always release. Clicking right on the border line often fails to stop it. My standard solution was to move the cursor back to the failed endpoint near the border to click it again. This interrupts your rhythm and slows you down.
After testing this with Connect Moderator @MortenCopenhagen, we found three solutions that keep the drawing rhythm seamless and save quite a bit of time during long mapping sessions.
Solution 1: Click Outside the Box
Do not try to click directly on the border line.
-
Move your cursor slightly past the frame edge; the cursor gets bigger at the edge.
-
Click once outside the frame.
-
The tool will release immediately.
Solution 2:
Look closely at the cursor when trying to find the border. When the cursor gets bigger, you know you are ON the border, and it is safe to click and the line will always release.
Solution 3: The Esc Key
-
Keep your left-hand finger on the Esc key.
-
Click your last point, then press Esc right away.
-
This also cuts the active line without clicks.
These methods keep your work fast and smooth. Kindly share your thoughts below
