I added two new roads on Google Maps two days back, but still showing pending. How many days does it usually take to get approved?
Hello @mahroof welcome to the Local Guides Connect community!
Good question, unfortunately any time between one day and 90 days is possible, and even worse, according to our experience only a small number of road edits is accepted. If rejected, we don’t even get any information, so keep watching My Contributions → Edits.
There are many discussions on that topic, but nothing we really can do. To increase the chances, start with very short pieces and extent after they were accepted or try again after rejection. Do not try to add the same road multiple times, though.
To get started, have a look at this post: How to Add Roads on Google Maps: Helpful Topics not only for Beginners @PrasadVR collected many links to more detailed tips and tricks for road edits.
Thank you so much for the clear explanation
Welcome to the Connect community, @mahroof. As @WilfriedB already explained, road edits can take up to 90 days to be approved. Beyond 90 days, the edit will automatically be rejected. You should read up on the process in the link Wil provided, and keep on editing. Thanks for helping make the Map better for everyone.
