The Ro-Ro Ferry Alibaug is a beautiful and magnificent ferry bought from Greece. This ferry is used to build connectivity from Mumbai to Alibaug which is a popular weekend getaway. The special thing about the ferry is that you can take your car along with you inside the ferry.
The Ferry has a capacity of 500 passengers and 150 vehicles which includes motorbikes, cars and bicycles. You can book the tickets online on their website. It is advisable to book the tickets in advance even if they are available on the location. The Ferry is mostly full even on the weekdays. It takes an hour to reach Alibaug from Mumbai to Alibaug.
This Ferry has a huge cafeteria for seating which serves some snacks. It also has a beautiful deck with a lot of seating where you can enjoy the sea with the cool breeze. They also have a lounge Bar.
Overall, it was a great experience sailing on the ferry. The best part is it saves a lot of time. It takes approximately 3 hours to reach Alibaug from Mumbai by car.

I understand from a news article the travellers have to reach the Princess docks in Mumbai and from there the ferry will drop you at Mandwa near Alibag. Still, I have one query. How much is the total throughput time?

However, the input I am looking for is something different.
To explain the concept here is an example. The Pune to Mumbai flight time is fifteen-minute only. However, the throughput time for a person living at Viman Nagar Pune, to Santa Cruz, will be three hours. I have indicated locations near to both the airports.
Another example, I availed a similar ferry service in the US at port Aransas Tx. The time to cross the creek was five minutes only. However, we had to wait in a queue for twenty minutes. Then accommodating the vehicles on the ferry took another five minutes. Thus the total throughput time was half an hour. Still, that was worth as it saved a detour of one hour with resultant net gain of half an hour.
That information will help the readers in making a choice.
Nevertheless, if that is intended to be only a joyride then it’s something different.
