Dear fellow guides, in my list of places you can’t miss to visit when you come to Rosario, I have included among other important places, the relative new River Paraná Aquarium that was inagurated in 02/09/2018.
Acuario Rio Paraná - Google Maps
As it says in the web site, this is a Scientific, Technological and Educacional Aquarium, for the ambient conservation and the sustainable use of one of the most important and diverse resource of fresh water in the planet: The Paraná River.
When I visited it, I took an excellent impression of the Aquarium, not only because it is an imponent, modern and technological building in the coast of the river, it is all very organized and all the staff and guides are very professionals, but because the main cause it seem to be preserve, care and study of the river wildlife and the environment.
I also notice that It is an excellent ride to the little ones, to start them in the environment care.
There are some interactive touch screen that are called “interactive tanks”, where they can learn many issues about the river and the wildlife.
At the end of the tour they have somes games always with the same topic : environment care.
Some helpful tips:
- The ticktets are about $50 Pesos Argentinos (1 Dollar USD) for adults and youg children under 5 years free.
- The visit tour lasts for about 1 hour 40 minutes, and it is given by very well trained guides.
On the other hand, I was very pleased and surprised cause the center offer acces ramps, special elevator and wheelchair accessibility, which is not very common in Rosario.
Finally, please don´t forget to visit this Aquarium when you came to Rosario, and let continue mapping the world
Regards!

Great post @SebaasC thank you for sharing. It is interesting that a new building has been built in the style or brutalist architecture. Maybe that style is making a comeback.
The aquarium looks interesting inside.

@SebaasC , good job on a well-compiled post about the River Parana Aquarium. Looks very enticing!
I also notice that the signboards have English in them so one would be able to go around the aquarium as well as the city, just with the knowledge of English? Do we need to know the local language to get around the place? Thanks

@PaulPavlinovich thank you for your feedback.
It is not easy to make a post , and describe a place as it is.
I’m learning a lot here in LGC, reading all the posts, the advices, and specially the googlers and moderators ones.
I’M trying improve to make more complete and richer reviews.
Thanks again.

Hello @RSubram , how are you? I’m glad you like the review.
The signboars with three languages is an exception here.
You have to speak a little of Spanish to come here, only a little.
All the stuffs relative with tourists, hotel employees, airport, guides, services, speak English.
So be safe and come to visit this lovely city!

Saludos Farid.

Life under the water is a very unknown thing to most of us@Sebaas. These insitutions may play important roles in order to educate us which may be of help to bring down pollution etc.
Thanks for sharing the nice pics.
Best.

Hola @SebaasC !
Me ha impresionado el tamaño del aquario, bastante grande.
Me han encantado las peceras y tanques interactivos
Son curiosos los peces que se exponen, sabemos mucho del mar… pero menos del río.
Un saludo desde el Sur de España,
Alejandra.
