First and foremost, Bandar Saujana Putra (BSP) is a small town consists of 50,000 population and the linear distance is about 40 kilometer from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) passing through two (2) Plaza Tolls; Plaza Tol KLIA (26) and Plaza Toll ELITE Bandar Saujana Putra (BSP)

BSP (Bandar Saujana Putra) folks’ joking note literally translated from Malay to English, the following;

1.) Nasi is Rice,
2.) Ke is To, and
3.) Rabu is Wednesday.

So that is why Nasi Kerabu also known as Rice-To-Wednesday by locals. Affendi is the owner of this, an eatery outlet which is searchable at Google Maps > Affendi Nasi Kerabu. I like buying foods here because of cleanliness, ambiance, ample parking space, and customer-friendliness practice by the business owner and front line workers.

There are a lot of wow factors on eating Nasi Kerabu mainly served with herbs and vegetables. Site order for grilled chicken or beef or fish would be better to eat with Nasi Kerabu.

The violet rice (also available in yellow) is so soft and to get better taste, I have to mix all around with grated coconut dried-gravy also herbs and vegetables. To enjoy eating Nasi Kerabu (Rice-To-Wednesday) yummier, better take it with salted-egg. At this outlet, they give a large portion of violet rice and this is good for those who are on save-budget-eaters as from the takeaway they can split into a portion for breakfast and the rest for brunch or extend it for lunch, as well. Nasi Kerabu (Rice-To-Wednesday) is a really toothsome menu…

Affendi Nasi Kerabu is a small food selling outlet, but famously known by Bandar Saujana Putra (BSP) residents.

I had never heard of violet rice @OtaiSelangor and had to look it up. I love visiting small vendors like this when travelling to experience the real local foods.

Thanks for sharing lots of delicious things to taste in your photo.

Hi @PaulPavlinovich

Many thanks for dropping by into the comment section. The white rice turned/changed violet once cooked with special herb leaves. No artificial coloring (substance) added.

That looks delicious and nice presentation,we don’t have anything like this at the seaside here in Thailand…

Hi @Hash

Nasi Kerabu is well known at the Southern part of Thailand with local version name Nasi Kerabu Golok. Golok is the name of the most southern town in Thailand.

I tried once, and it was too salty sourced from marinated anchovies sauce.
