RICE KHEER DESSERT.

On occasion of Janmashtami ( Lord Krishna Birth)

I thought let me share my recipe of kheer without using Milk Made, I have got prize for this kheer recipe by India Gate Food, it’s was posted on Facebook book on there page.
RICE KHEER DESSERT
Can be serve for 4 people.

Ingredients

1 packet milk -1 litre.
1 tsp Basmati rice ( soak in water.)
6- tsp Sugar.
10- Almond.( soak in water).
10- Raisin. (Soak in water)
Kesar soak in milk ( optional).
Thick vessel.

Tip.

Put little water in vessel or pan milk won’t stick the bottom.
At the edges apply pure ghee little milk won’t overflow from. Pan.
Method.
Take thick bottom vessel or pan put little water, put milk keep on slow gas to boil, add soak rice let it boil keep stirring . It’s takes nearly 1.30 hour’s to cook on slow gas add kesar, when milk become naturally pink & thick add sugar.

Mix well add raisin & almond. Keep little almond to decorated it on top.

In winter serve hot & in summer serve chill cold kheer.

If you cannot make at home go to near by Gurudware & have in langar kheer is served there also.

Serve it with love to your family.

I am very much fond of eating kheer/payesh @RosyKohli your recipe seems very easy and from the photo of the kheer, it really looks delicious. You can add an Indian Leaf or Dachini to give it a nice smell. Thanks for sharing this nice recipe. Regards.

Myg grandmom use to make very tasty one, she use to make it with semi cooked rice and after it is made she used to add malai to it to make the texture more rich and creamy.

The rice kheer looks sweet and tasty, thanks for sharing the recipe @RosyKohli I like kheer when it is thickened, cold and sweet (Similar to the one in photograph #3) but on the contrary my wife like it in liquid form.

Thanks, yes we also prepare that time & on every full moon day purnima time if u keep in silver vessel keep under moon light it’s very good.

Thanks, you liked it yes in summer we like chilli kheer & winters hot kheer, yes when keep in thick vessels slow gas I - my family thick kheer .both taste you will find it different thick & thin.
