Reviews bloated for free ice cream toppings

This place isn’t the first to do it but we need to protect ratings on Google maps. This place has an incredibly high rating and when I got there I discovered why. A sign that says “rate us on Google maps and get free toppings”.

Somehow our algorithm should be able to find short 5 star reviews that customers make just to get free ice cream toppings.

Hi @AlexanderChalkidis

If you come across a Google Business Profile that breaches Google’s guidelines, you can report it using the Business Redressal Complaint Form, here: https://support.google.com/business/contact/business_redressal_form

There is also a dedicated procedure to report this in the Maps app

Please see

Yeah it won’t go ahead without proof, I need to go and photograph the sign

Thanks, that I could do even without evidence. The other form demands you to attach evidence which is fair enough but not always easy. In this case the sign was next to the till so I could not quite take a picture without it becoming a thing with the staff

That’s true, @AlexanderChalkidis but It’s highly unlikely that Google will take action against a business based solely on our statement. The form suggested by @NareshDarji usually works well when the business’s name itself is against the rules. I managed to get a business removed from Maps that was “incentivizing” 5-star reviews by promising discounts, but to do so I had to provide clear evidence of this fact.
