I need ideas on how to handle a question that pops up on my Google Maps Page after I visit one of my favorite places. The question asks me to rate, review and add photos for the place which I have already reviewed.
It seems logical to me to simply ignore this question or suggestion. Or should I write
Many thanks for your prompt reply. Your reply is as I’d thought it might be. Rather than rely on my own interpretation I thought it best to seek out an opinipon from someone with more experience than I.

This happened in the past, due to a temporary issue of Google Maps.
If we exclude the glitch (as it was involving the whole community) I can see only a reason for this to happen: a merge with a duplicate. It happened to me twice, and the only solution is to wait a few days.
During a merge the contributions are partially disconnected from the location, so it may happen that your review seems to be missing even if, when you visit the listing, your review and your photos are there.
In some cases also the photos disappear, and seems to be related to an unknown place.
Last time it took a week for everything to be back in the business listing, so please be patient and inform us about the evolution
According to this thread (Add, edit, or delete Google Maps reviews & ratings ), "…your review, score, and details about a place show up in Google Maps and on your profile until you take them down. After your review is published, you can edit it or change the rating and pictures you included."
So, if you write your review again, it means you edit it. Not write the review twice. That’s allowed. The date of your review is the date you edit/update it.
Excellent information about how to merge and format new updates with older reviews. Thank you very much. I do visit new, for me, places however, I also have old favorites!
