This week, we’re loving Local Guide Jin Yoshikawa’s review of The Bookshop in Nashville. In it, he says, “There are probably only two or three bookstores that are worth checking regularly in Nashville. Parnasus in Green Hills and the Bookshop (the third might be McKay’s and fourth might be the Vanderbilt Barnes and Noble). The Bookshop is the smallest, but the floorspace is dense with superb book selections. Compared to Parnasus, the Bookshop’s books are more stylish and hip.”
This review caught our eye because it offers a lot of information about an interesting small business. He continues with, “You’ll certainly find amazing gifts for your literary and not so literary friends of all backgrounds too. Of course, the Bookshop is not Barnes and Nobles or McKay. If you know the specific book you’re looking for, you may not find it there unless you call ahead. But if you’re looking for inspiration, you’ll find lots of it. It’s a great place to have in your repertoire of Nashville hotspots.”
Jin gives a comparison to other large bookstores in the area, and we love how his description makes us want to visit. It also provides good advice to call ahead given the selection. We love reviews that spotlight unique shops like this.
