There are over 18,838 Burger King restaurants all over the world!
For those of you who are not from the U.S., this food franchise will have no meaning for you, at least not yet. For the millions of Americans who grew up in the 80’s will remember the famous T.V. commercials with the Burger King himself. Every kid would beg their parents for a crown, like the one you see on my head. I had to relive those days for just a short time. I had plenty of onlookers, too.
Burger King’s claim to fame is its signature burger called the Whopper with It’s juicy charbroiled burgers on sesame seed buns! Flame grilled beef is simply the best on planet earth in my opinion. A nice change from McDonald’s style burgers, too. The patties in the whopper are juicier and more flavorsome.
( Two meat patties with fresh crispy lettuce, a juicy tomato, some pickles, and mayo and mustard )
Strangely enough the best looking branches are located in countries like Brazil and Spain. Here in Tokyo, they are all over the place now. No wonder Japanese youth are getting gaining weight here, and I’m not helping.
Hi @user_not_found thanks for sharing. It’s always fun to try out US fast food chains overseas. Any interesting menu from Burger King in Japan? When I was in Tokyo back in 2013, I had sakura burger, with pink bun and pink sauce. It was actually quite tasty :0
I’m a big confused though. You tagged the post in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Did you go to Burger King in Japan or Argentina?
Burger King is my favorite junk food fantasy and whoppers never disappoints. I tried In-n-Out burgers in 2018 for the first time and momentarily they topped my list . I still remember when they opened up the first Burger King outlet in my hometown (Pakistan), I was right there, amongst the first 50 to get whopper that day, that was my moment . For some very odd reason, I must say that again, very very odd reason, Pakistanis believe McDonalds is posh and they cannot get Burger King satisfy their taste, so mostly you see hundreds at McDonalds franchises (not because its cheap, but because they think its cool to skip proper meal for synthetic food ), on the other hand Burger King franchises are almost always empty
I am currently in Pinang, Malaysia and the nearest Burger King is some 300 Kilometres away. I know all I’m going to think and dream about for next one month is that Whopper
Hello @iyudhi I know. US fast food in other countries is really interesting. Well, we had the Kuro burger / Black burger with squid sauce. Most Burger Kings look the same, and was pleasantly surprised to see how posh they look in other countries, and I Brazil has the most beautiful branches!
@user_not_found it’s going alright! Staying safe at home and venturing out sparingly since cases are still wild here in South Florida, among other things. How about you?!
Hahaha…favorite junk food fantasy… You’ve got In-n-Out, man. Wow. Pakistan’s got Burger King. Unbelievable and the comparison between McDs is very interesting. You’re lucky to be in Penang. You can enjoy that South Asian cuisine and maybe get in some snorkeling.
