Residence Inn by Marriott in Wichita easily exceeded my expectations for it was a super cool place to stay with a great entrance lobby. The room was clean and spacious. This was accompanied by some amazing service plus the outdoors were fantastic. There was a tiny pool where one could just sit around with colleagues and dip your feet in the water and chat during the evenings or on the weekend. There was ample seating place around the pool as well along with a central heating place when the temperatures dip.
There are also outdoor sports facilities like golf and tennis courts.
The room was equipped with a kitchen and there was also a self-pay shop inside the hotel for small snacks and quick meals. They had a breakfast that you could take back to your room and eat, besides unlimited breakfast offerings that I could eat in their dining area. The beds too were comfortable.
The front desk was friendly and very accommodating. They were attentive and asked questions each time I came through the lobby to get to know and help make me comfortable during my stay. They were able to fulfill my request for a room by the stairs and also opened the gym at odd hours. In retrospect, the staff definitely went above and beyond to fulfill all the requests that I had and I really appreciated it.
Residence Inn by Marriott is pretty conveniently located in Wichita since I didn’t want to spend a lot of time downtown. But I found nothing was really that far away in Wichita. There were a few great restaurants and socializing places located nearby like The Alley Indoor Entertainment, Sumo by Nambara, and East Warren Theatre
There was a Braum’s Ice Cream & Burger Restaurant directly next door so I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again

Accessibility Features
As seen in the first image the hotel had reserved accessible parking for the differently-abled marked with the accessibility symbol both on the board and on the ground. Also, the entrance can be seen leveled-off for easing the entrance of a person with a wheelchair. Inside the rooms as seen in the photos the different areas like the kitchen, the hall, bathrooms, and the bedroom are all at the same level to ease the movement of a wheelchair. So was the lobby and the gym and sports areas.
