Hi @HUMBERTO_V , I am sorry about your issue, that is unfortunately very common.

Fortunately with the new notification you can appeal directly for every review, or at least for the ones blocked recently. For the others (You have 297 hidden reviews) you can use the form linked in An update on how we moderate Google Maps reviews.

With the direct appeal the reviews are checked (and hopefully unlocked) very quickly, while for the ones where you appeal with the form the check may take several weeks (8, in my personal case).

A few weeks ago I wrote a post to explain why this is happening and what is behind this decision: Your review has not been published. Do you know why? .

The aim of the post was to try to explain what is happening globally (not only in Google) about reviews, end for giving some suggestion to Google on how to improve the check.

Good luck, I hope everything will be over quickly

What surprised me, @RafaRuiz , is what you said about the not accepted appeals, so I wanted to check your profile.

And in fact I am surprised that some of your reviews, and of the duplicate photos (most of your recent photos are posted more than once) is till visible, because the filter should automatically remove them too.

A review should show a “real” experience of a specific place, and duplicating a review in more than one location is totally against the rules. A few examples:

Duplicate reviews

Duplicate photos in the same location

Duplicate photos across location (this is a serious issue)

reviews and

Of course I can’t see your blocked content (74 reviews and 35 photos) but based on what I can see I think that you should check your contents in deep. Some of the visible violations in your profile could easily end in a ban from the Local Guide program

@ErmesT @Good morning and thanks for the response. Regarding the duplicate reviews you mention, they are from different Mercadonas that I have been to. Some have a prepared food area and others do not. If I don’t see anything different from each other, I can’t put anything else. Regarding the photos, it must be an error on the part of maps that I will correct shortly.

@RafaRuiz , I suggest you to deeply read the Community policy , especially the following part:

  • “Take photos that clearly and accurately represent a location …**”
  • “Dark, blurry, and redundant photos will be removed. Users who duplicate photos across locations, … will also be removed.”

It is too easy to say, It can be an error of Maps, because at the end we are the ones that choose/confirm to upload the photos.

As you wanted to mention the “tour Eiffel” I would like to show you something:

The above photo are violating the policy mentioned above, because Redundant (very similar), duplicate and at the end not representing the Location.

Even if the tour Eiffel is in front of the Trocadero Gardens, on the other side of the Seine river, do you think someone would visit the gardens because from there you can see the Tour Eiffel?

Same for the Gallery Lafayette Haussmann, that is 3240 meters away.

Do you think that 9 very similar photos are the best way to improve the information about Champ the Mars? What about to remove 6 of them? Also I do not believe you took the photos from Champ de Mars, because you were very close to the tower, so most probably you took them from the Tour Eiffel Garden .

I could continue with a lot of other duplicates.

Blocking a review because of the photos and/or videos added is very common. However I would suggest you to wait a few hours before to delete them.

While Google is processing the photos and videos the review in fact appear as “not posted”, but in many cases we just need to wait.

Kindly remove the duplicates ASAP, including the last posted. If Google check the profile (very possible as you posted here about your issue) they will surely detect the violations mentioned in the conversation.

Good luck

Oh, I forgot to tell you: Posting the same review for different places is against the rules too

@ErmesT

Good night. When I get home I will review the reviews from the computer. Because I haven’t posted a review of Campo de Mars and from my mobile I don’t get any duplicate reviews, The photos you mention are from below the tower, next to one of the pillars . Regarding going to the Trocadero gardens or the Galeries Lafayette to see the Eiffel Tower, of course yes. This is how I organized it on my route so I could see it from afar first, although that is already a matter of personal taste.
