Hello Dear Connect,

We need your support & inspiration…

Intro:

As you are well aware that many of us are very active in Google Maps, LG Connect & Local Communities, including Connect Meet Ups.

It was a great matter of joy to enjoy the PERKs, which you gave appreciating our contributions. Of course, this was surely a moral boost & inspiration to contribute more.

  1. Kindly allow us to continue to use the allotted Free Storage Space:

The “Free Storage Space” offered by GoogleOne was very useful for all of us, who got the benefit. Unfortunately, the same was discontinued, which has put us in a lot of difficulties and as you know, this has definitely affected our enthusiasm of contribution; hence we request to re-award the same.

  1. Also, can you kindly extend this benefit for LGs who are above Level 8?

At least a Free Storage Space of 100 GB, will benefit many LGs a Lot & will motivate them to reach Level 10; hence request you to gift this perk and motivate LGs.

If possible, a 25 GB Free Storage Space, after Level 5 will drive more LGs to work with enthusiasm to reach the Level 8.

  1. A prior mail to inform about the Expiry:

A prior intimation (eMail) of expiry of free offers, preferably a week before will be very helpful to decide whether the paid service is to be opted or to be cancelled. (At least I only got the receipt intimation, after charging, which promptly refunded the very next day).

  1. If not free, kindly subsidise:

In case if free service is not possible, a subsidised offer will very much boost the morale of LGs; as you know, with all the contributions made, we are only at par with other public – kindly motivate LGs, please.

Although paying this is not a big amount for many of us, few LGs may surely find it difficult to afford. Also, calling off the perk will surely reduce our esteem and reduce our motivation. Hence, on behalf of all active LGs, we request you to allow us to CONTINUE to use the GoogleOne free space perk, without any charges.

I fully believe that our Connect Team will fully appreciate our request & grand us the benefits.

Also being a Level 10 LG, with 280,700 (Plus) Points and 5,86,00,000 (Plus) viewers, I hope that I am eligible to request & represent this to Connect.

Dear @TravellerG Sir,

This is quite an important concern which I believe most of the senior Active LGs are facing right now.

Since contribution is all about reviews, pictures and videos primarily, it involves good amount of data handling which cellular devices are not able to provide and keeping the data on the cloud becomes the need of the hour.

Google One can be quite beneficial for keeping the data and using it on the run.

I sincerely thank you for raising the concern on behalf of the LG community.

Do we need to keep copies of photos we upload as LG on Google?

It’s already on the cloud for free right and not attached to our personal cloud space.

I would personally pay for my private collection on the cloud rather than asking any favor from Google.

Thanks @TravellerG for taking concern on Google one drive perk, yes as you said all LG Cotributing more on review, photos, videos, street view and 360 photos on Google Map as this occupy more storage it will be helpful if we get extensions for Google one drive it will help to explore more.

Thanks for taking the initiative sir. I firmly believe that such Perk should be offered as lifelong reward to the local guides rather than on trial basis. I hope the stakeholders understand this concern.

Couldn’t agree more… Google One for LGs should not be a sales campaign. Even if it is reduced storage, it should be free all the time, not limited…

Even sometimes the Googleone perk is unable to redeem. Please look into those rectification of problems occur while redeem.

Thanks a lot @TravellerG Sir for this important issue regarding the latest perk i.e. Google one offered by Google among our LG community. I 100% agreed to ur post. Google One is a Paid service, after the completion of Free subscription period of one year and there is not any option to disable the auto renewal fee payment. I may forget to unsubscribe at the end of free subscription period. It will be much better if an option to disable the auto renewal fee payment be available to stop possibility of unwanted payment.
Google should provide an option to disable the auto renewal fee payment after the completion of Free subscription period of one year. Mostly Local Guides of our LG community in India are not availing this perk because of fear of unwanted financial liability.
