I am a local free diver in Eilat, Israel, and I need assistance fixing an important underwater community point on Google Maps that cannot be resolved through standard in-app edits.

The place is a popular diving spot called: “Free Dive Permanent Underwater Anchor”

• Current wrong coordinates on Google Maps: 29.4927951, 34.9046862
• Correct exact coordinates (verified on-site with multiple GPS devices): 29° 29’ 34.524" N, 34° 54’ 22.74" E (Decimal: 29.492923, 34.906317)

The current marker is placed incorrectly. Because this permanent anchor is located in the open water (Red Sea), standard automated algorithms keep ignoring my edit suggestions, likely treating changes in water coordinates as errors.

Could a Google Connect Moderator please escalate this manual location update to the engineering team so it displays at the correct diving spot? This is crucial for local divers’ safety and navigation.

I wonder who thought the category Hiking area was appropriate.

Morten, sorry for the confusion regarding the formatting errors earlier.
It was an issue on my side with the text editor filtering out web URLs.

Regarding the category: you are completely right. “Hiking area” is a mistake. I fully agree with Annaelisa’s suggestion — “Diving area” is much better and more accurate for this permanent underwater anchor.
