Dear Google Maps Team / Local Guides Community,
I would like to report a missing road that serves as a tourist route in Batifa, located in the Kurdistan region of northern Iraq. This road is important for visitors and local accessibility, and it should be visible on Google Maps to support tourism and navigation in the area.
Despite being a Level 7 Local Guide, I am currently unable to add or edit this road directly. I kindly ask if someone from the community or the Maps team could assist in drawing and adding this road to the map.

Are all your edits rejected? Or you don’t see the option to do so? If the latter, what platform do you use - desktop or mobile app?
I use mobile OS Android , the App says you can’t Edit this Region !? not available for edit

The app says its clearly: No local guide can edit that region. There are some regions where Google restricts editing.
I tag @ErmesT who might be able to explain more details about those cases.

I hope someone like him can help with this. In the screenshot image, I drew the RED road line that is currently missing. I wonder why Google Maps still doesn’t support this or at least provide editing access to users who are above Level 5 or 6.

I’m afraid editing and adding roads in your country is currently not possible. I tried and was also informed that it is currently not possible.

@MortenCopenhagen , I confirm your view. I tried to add the road but system not allowing, it has displayed a message which says ‘not allowed’.
Adding road is not allowed in this region. Please see the message at the bottom
