Request to Add Borders and POI for Rakhmit Village (رخميت) on Google Maps

Hello Local Guides team,

I’m reaching out as a dedicated Local Guide from Yemen. I noticed that Rakhmit village (رخميت), located in Al-Raydah and Qusaiyer District, Hadhramaut Governorate, appears on Google Maps, but only as a label, without borders or a clear Point of Interest (POI).

Coordinates:
Latitude: 15.0641914
Longitude: 50.5773587

Rakhmit is a real rural village with historical and geographical relevance. It includes valleys, seasonal green areas, and is home to families and small communities.

I kindly ask for guidance on how I can help:
• Add official boundaries for the village
• Make it show up as a recognizable POI, like other nearby villages
• Possibly attach verified information or map contributions to improve visibility

Your advice or escalation to the right team would be greatly appreciated.

This is not directly related to the Local Guides Program.

You need to seek help on this in the Maps Support Forum

And I will need to warn you about the fact that this can be a difficult task.

Google will need solid documentation in the form of copyright free and official Maps to make this change. The challenge for you will be to find this documentation.

The volunteers Product Experts in the Maps Support Community can guide you in how to find and present this documentation.
