This reviewer appears to be abusing the review system. Across multiple reviews, they use extreme language (only ever 1★ or 5★), and in some cases make unsubstantiated allegations and threats that go beyond fair feedback.
In one review they accuse a business of deliberately avoiding tax obligations without any proof, which is defamatory and speculative.
In another, they publish a private booking reference number and use threatening language about escalating disputes to “authorities” and banks, which is not appropriate review content.
The pattern suggests they are not leaving balanced, good-faith reviews but rather using Google reviews to vent, intimidate, or pressure businesses.
This behaviour undermines the integrity of the Local Guide programme and is unfair on small businesses who rely on honest reviews. I respectfully request Google reviews these posts and the account’s conduct as a whole.
Hello @richbembo The tax crime mentioned by the user is committed by many businesses in the country where I live. Many businesses do not issue receipts for purchases. Not issuing and receiving receipts is a crime.
I have witnessed many crimes committed under the Labor Law in many of the workplaces I have worked at. This situation is especially prevalent in countries like Türkiye, which are Banana Republics and not states.
Be assured, in the country where I live, it does not matter whether it is a factory or a tradesman, the vast majority of them commit crimes and continue without any problems. There are people selling expired products.
I have seen that the factories I work at receive notice several times beforehand that an inspection will be carried out. The purpose of inspecting workplaces is to detect any non-compliance and impose sanctions. Factories that commit crimes under the labor law do not experience any problems despite being inspected.
Türkiye ranks first in Europe and second in the world in fatal workplace accidents. The IQ of the people of Türkiye is 86. The average human IQ is 90. The IQ of the Turkish community in Asia is 107. Türkiye is even behind Palestine in the poverty index.
If you, as a tradesman, reflect the customer’s purchases on the receipt, you can respond by commenting. Since the local guide who wrote the review used your service, I don’t think you’ll gain much. Have a good day.
Have you taken the time to flag the reviews you think violate the guidelines? If so please share a screenshot taken of the outcome shown in your list of Reports. And include the links to those specified reviews. Also include one sentence describing how you think it violated the guidelines for each review. Then We can hopefully escalate this.
Thanks for flagging this. As @MortenCopenhagen mentioned, if you believe a review violates the Google Maps guidelines, you can flag it directly on Google Maps, which is the best way to do it.
Additionally, for privacy reasons, I have removed the links you shared. I’m also changing your category to Google Maps tips & tricks with the “Reviews” tag.
Please note, using the right tags and categories on your topics makes it easier for other Local Guides to find what they’re looking for in the community.
