Red Canyon in Israel.

One of the most beautiful natural sites in Israel is Red Canyon. It is located pretty close to Eilat, the most southest city in Israel. A drive from Eilat to the Red Canyon takes about 20-25 minutes. Red Canyon is a really fantastic place for hiking. There is a circular hiking trail going through the canyon. The trail is relatively easy and suitable for family hiking.

The Red Canyon is included in my list on Google Maps "The best places to visit in Israel".

Hi @Andrey_K , Thank you for sharing stunning photos. Wish to be there! What time of the year is the best for visiting? I’ve been in Tel Aviv and Haifa, Dead Sea 6 years ago at a conference, but unfortunately I had no time for travel. Hope will have a chance to get back. Love your country and nation.

Hello @Andrey_K ,

Thanks for showing this place to us. It looks unearthly beautiful and I would love to visit it one day. What would you recommend to other Local Guides that is worth knowing before visiting? Do they have to bring food or any clothes for layering?

Hi @Thai_Ngh ,

Thank you for your comment and for the kind words regarding Israel and Israelis. I’m glad you like Israel.

The best time for visiting the Red Canyon is winter. Spring and autumn are good time, too, but it’s getting hot in the desert during a day. Summer is the worst time for visiting, it is too hot there.

Hi @Andrey_K ,

wow this canyon looks so beautiful, the photos are simply amazing. I’ve been visiting different places in Israel but didn’t reach that point, this must be for sure a must if you are in the area being so beautiful.

Let me tag here our friend @uavalentine who lives partially in Israel, perhaps she knows the Red Canyon and she has some other beautiful pictures  .

Thank you for sharing.

Hi @MoniDi ,

Thank you for your comment. Indeed, this place looks unearthly beautiful, especially when you come there.

It takes about 1,5-2,5 hours to observe the canyon and I am not sure that there is a necessity to bring food there. Maybe, a little snack or some fruit. I recommend to bring enough cold water, a cap, sunglasses and a camera or a good smartphone to take pictures.

Summer is not a good time for visiting the canyon, it’s too hot here. If there’s no choice, I recommend to get there early in the morning.

There’s a parking lot close to the canyon, where you can find also an information about the Red Canyon and hiking trails.

Hi @Andrey_K

the dead Sea were the last part of the travel. During the travel we saw also some Little Village But We arrive in Tel-Aviv, we visit Nazharhet, Bethlem, we went on the jordan River, in Jericho and in the end on the dead Sea.

Is so strange saw how much salt there Is?

Hi @TusharSuradkar ,

Thank you for your comment. The best time for visiting Israel is spring or autumn. It’s not so hot as in summer and not so rainy as in winter. The weather is amazing during both seasons. Anyway, I would recommend springtime because of blossoming trees and blooming flowers that you can see everywhere.
