This one ran mostly to time and finished with a period of questions from the attendees of which there were plenty. I enjoy this part of the workshop as I never know what is going to be asked and it keeps me on my toes.
I am getting better at using the open source free video editor KdenLive to produce the video and am learning some of its more advanced features. This part of this is lots of fun. Behind the scenes there is quite the time table of work. Every one hour workshop basically takes a week of work before starting again for the next one.
Wednesday: Produce the draft of the presentation
Thursday: Make demo photos or find them from my library
Friday: Get the QA done
Saturday: Go out and make any extra photos or video segments and blend them into the presentation and make the announcement
Sunday: Run the workshop
Monday: review the feedback, start commenting on the home work photos
Tuesday produce the video, finish commenting the home work photos and write the recap
Wednesday: here we go again!
I didn’t take role call this week but meet tells me that there were 50 participants and their initials were
AD, AG, AH, AJ, AL, AN, AN, AS, AS, BA, BG, BH, CA, FA, FE, JA, JE, JE, JO, JU, KA, KR, LU, MA, MI, MN, MY, NI, PA, PA, PY, RA, RI, RO, RO, SH, SH, SH, SO, ST, SU, TA, TH, TM, VA, VI, VV and YA.
Meet also tells me that the retention rate was better this week with most attendees staying for the whole meet-up.
The YouTube video is processing but will be available soon I hope. It’s been sitting on 0% for a while so we’ll see what happens… anyway when the link works is will be https://youtu.be/YSPR6rw-WS0
Another big week done and dusted just in time to start the next one.
