Hi Local Guides,
Thank you for joining my meetup on Sunday. I know it was a holiday and family time, but still a few Local Guides gave their precious time to attend. I am truly grateful to them.
1. Introduction and Welcome
I welcomed everyone and introduced the participants. A Local Guide from my area, who was also my student, joined along with the co-host Rahul.

2. Exploring the Local Market
Rahul helped show the Four Bungalow Market area, including the bus stop, nearby shops, and restaurants.
, and a medical shop.
The shopping centre has four gates, and while walking through I showed many small businesses like boutiques, lace shops, tailors sitting outside stitching clothes, embroidery and alteration shops, fabric stores, readymade garment shops, undergarments, kids wear, toy shops, and Neera Dupatta, a wholesaler and retailer. There were also purse shops, shoes, artificial jewellery, and many more.

Outside the shopping complex we also saw street food stalls such as momos, pizza, idli–dosa, pani puri, and sandwich shops.
3. Understanding Businesses & Accessibility
Our focus was to understand the offerings of these small businesses and also observe accessibility features in the area.
4. Welcoming a New Local Guide
A new Local Guide, Sunil, joined the meetup after reading my post. It was nice to see the community growing. He asked a few questions. For a few minutes my network had an issue and I got disconnected, but after rejoining, Sunil’s questions were answered by Santosh, Tejal, and Gurupriya. Thank you to them for their support.
Opposite the shopping centre, Rahul also showed Tirumala Shopping Centre, the nearby bus stop, and the metro station from outside.
5. Discussion on Google Maps Contributions
We had an open discussion about contributing on Google Maps, focusing on updates and edits, accessibility information, sustainability, and uploading useful photos.
For the food crawl, Rahul showed two restaurants from outside—Get Together and Flavours of Malvan—which had not yet opened at that time. You can also check my review and video.
6. Ending with Gurudwara Darshan
The meetup ended with Gurudwara darshan and blessings for everyone. Kirtan was going on, and as it was Sunday, special prayers were taking place. By the time I reached, the Gurudwara was packed with sangat. I sat for some time on a bench outside the langar hall, which felt like a peaceful way to conclude the meetup. I also had langar and reached home around 3:00 PM.
