This is another very knowledgeable virtual meet-up. I always enjoy meet-up. Many thanks to @PrasadVR and @Kumaarsantosh for the excellent presentation and explanation. @MarcoDavoli himself was also present so we well on the road and on TRAC. @jayasimha78 your quiz is always an inspiration even though I have never won any. Thanks for always coming to relax the atmosphere of our Meet-ups. @ErmesT@AdrianLunsong@Sagir@Silvi@LightRich
among other moderators who attended thank you everyone. The meet-up was very descriptive.
This was the first virtual meetup I was planning on attending and the auto generated calendar entry is an hour late and now im sad, so I’m looking forward to the recap. Apologies that I flagged up as attending but didn’t actually turn up.
@Steve_UK Are you generating the calendar entry when you tap on the date/time section of the meet-up panel? If so, be careful with where you tap as you’ll get a different set of times when you tap on the start or the end of the meet-up session.
So, if you accidentally tapped on the end date/time and added that to your calendar, you would have logged the wrong info for the event. Hope that helps.
It was indeed a very knowledgeable meet-up. Thanks to all the senior TRAC members, including you Captain @SholaIB
I enjoyed the quiz immensely too. Thank you @jayasimha78
Thanks @AdrianLunsong , I know this will have been user error, I just need to pay attention to the times one the next one, think I must have clicked the end date as you suspect.
To be honest I was a bit lost because I was expecting a link or invite or something, and i only saw the URL when my reminder went off and I went back to the original thread.
Yup… the implementation is not great to be fair. When I “add to calendar” I always copy the URL for the post and paste in the calendar description so that I can quickly go back to the post to get the Meet details when it becomes available.
Also, sometimes the Meet details don’t show correctly in the link given by the meet-up page (possibly a user error when the host submitted the link) so it comes up with an error when you click on the link. In some instances, you can right click on the link and copy the link address, paste it in a notepad/text editor/URL address bar… scroll through the pasted text and you’ll come across the Meet address embedded in the text.
Here’s an example where the link in the meet-up is not showing properly.
