The Year in Review: Bangladesh Local Guides Community was the final meetup organized under the Bangladesh Local Guides banner this year, successfully held as a virtual meetup.
A total of 39 Local Guides from different parts of Bangladesh joined the session. This meetup marked the 278th meetup of the community and the 28th meetup of 2025.
During the meetup, a comprehensive review of all activities and meetups conducted throughout the year was presented, along with key highlights and insights. The meetup plan for the first half of 2026 was also shared with the participants.
In addition, a live demo of the community websiteâs Version 2.0 was showcased, and valuable feedback was collected from attendees.
Updates on the LG10ScavengerHunt challenge were shared, including the latest global rankings of the five teams representing the Bangladesh Local Guides community.
Participants were also briefed on the Connect Liveâ26 application process, followed by an interactive Q&A session to address questions from Local Guides
The Community Spotlight segment introduced selected members and highlighted their contributions and activities within the Bangladesh Local Guides community. A brief discussion was also held on the Index of Bangladesh Local Guides initiative.
In the closing segment, the focus shifted to Women@LocalGuides, discussing ways to further expand awareness and increase community-led activities. This session was moderated by @SoniaK .
Finally, the virtual meetup concluded after nearly two hours with an open discussion on upcoming community initiatives and a Q&A session with participating Local Guides.

This has been a good discussion. Letâs hope for the best to revive some veteran guides back to activity.
