RECAP Two Maps photography nerds having fun in Bangalore

Thank you, @MortenCopenhagen, for this fantastic and informative recap. It was wonderful to see @palmad1 learning directly from you. I still remember the practical tricks you shared during our recent meeting in Visakhapatnam, and I’ve already started using them to improve my own contributions. This recap is the perfect follow-up to the recent @Kumaarsantosh Ghumakkad Gossip Meet-up series. Your post is a great guide on how to take and edit photos to make them look amazing.

You’ve raised a very important point, @MortenCopenhagen, about the air pollution in Indian cities. It is a serious concern for all of us. Our Government has introduced several comprehensive initiatives and schemes to motivate and accelerate the adoption of Electric Vehicles (EVs) and solar power across the country. Hopefully, we will see more EVs on our roads and enjoy cleaner air soon.

Lovely recollection of your visit and one-on-one with @palmad1 , Morten! I cannot lie, that 30-60 seconds of vying for a featured photo is always so fun  . Really does create the motivation to innovate and think outside of the box. I think your storefront tip is an interesting one and honestly I’m usually tilting, so I must give it a shot!

Thank you for those kind and thoughtful words, dear @KumaarSantos!!:folded_hands:

It was a true honor to host @MortenCopenhagen in Bangalore and uphold the “Atithi Devo Bhava” spirit. I felt very fortunate when Morten reached out and invited me for a photo walk during his recent visit; it was an unexpected and invaluable learning opportunity for me! :folded_hands:t2:

I also want to thank you for providing such a great foundation through the Ghumakkad Gossip series. That virtual session was the perfect preparation for the hands-on session on the streets of Bangalore. Seeing those 4 storefront photos become cover photos was a great result for the community!

I hope this experience motivates everyone to keep aiming for high quality. Looking forward to more learning together in the new year! :handshake:

I’m so glad to hear that our time together was a mutual learning experience. It was a truly invaluable exchange of ideas, and your technical insights have already been a great boost to my recent contributions! :camera_with_flash: :+1:

On a separate note, those EV stats from Denmark are inspiring. We have definitely started taking measures to control air pollution in India through various initiatives, including the rapid expansion of EV buses and Metro rail networks like the one you used here. We are seeing more EVs on the roads as the related infrastructure is being set up; hopefully, we will see much better air quality in just a few short years. :handshake:

Hello @Siddharth2000, @MortenCopenhagen covered it perfectly! As he mentioned, privacy is something I usually prioritize, but it’s interesting to observe the subtle shifts in how Google handles featured photos. Magic Eraser remains a great tool for me as well! Thanks for the thoughtful question. :handshake::blush:
