Hy Local Guides,
On October 19th ( Saturday), me and @ysakh [ Vaisakh ] conducted The Perfect Blend: Coffee, Culture and Community in Eve’s Coffee at Eve’s Coffee. This meet-up was in association with Eve’s Coffee and Playfolio. Before starting, I wanted to thank Vaisakh and @Kunjuz [ Akshay ] for being part of this meetup.
This meet-up was entirely indoors with a presentation and Coffee.
Presentation includes:
- What is a local guide program?
- How to contribute as a local guide ( which was divided into adding images, giving reviews, adding places and roads, etc… )
- Features in Maps. ( Creating lists, finding lgbtq friendly and women-owned businesses and Accessibility)
- What is Local Guide Connect and How do join in?
- Beta speaking about how Google Maps helps his business.
- Introduction of New Local Guides.
- Hearing Questions and solving them.
- Conclusion with a Coffee.
There were three speakers in this presentation: me, Vaisahk and @Betajayakumar
Vaisakh took the following sections:
- How to add images/videos
- How to add places/shops
- Checking facts.
- Giving answers.
I took the sections:
- How to add roads
- Feature in Maps
- What is Local Guide Connect and how to join in.
Beta took the stage to share his experiences with how Google Maps has helped his business over the years and what features he provides for customers.
