[RECAP] Sarona Market Meet-up in Tel Aviv

This meet-up first of all was dedicated to amazing work of Local Guides in Israel and became true ONLY due to the great great TEAM WORK of marvelous people, devoting their efforts not only to make outstanding contributions to the Maps, but to organise their precious family, studies, travel time around the LG community life!!!

@Natureexplorer, a great researcher in recycling wastewater, working hard for all the humanity to drink the used water again (what a global challenge!!!). More of that, it took him the whole day long to travel here and back for this meet-up so this is a type of strong personality!!! He is a live and true hero of this meet-up (!!!) and I we should “Lefargen” to him (thank a lot and show respect in return) to come to his meet-up in Ber-Sheva asap!!!

@Avsha is a real legend in life and this meet up too! Being so young and energetic, a father of 5 wonderful kids!!! This is an example of an extremely active lifestyle, having time for everything: family, kids raising, sports, healthy way of life and updating Google Maps on a regular basis!!

@smadar, wonderful local volonteer in many many spheres of Israel life was a great guide through the whole complex of Sarona Market, sharing with us the tips about the restaurants in the Market:
Every Wednesdays and Thursdays from 18:00 one can come to taste the small dishes from the cafes and restaurants in Sarona Market for 10-20 shekels (2-4 EUR) and to experience all types of food here.

@theStarman, travelholic and travellover, is a True Star of our Israeli Team, showing his commitment throuhg a great support on Connect and Google Maps! He adores people in Israel and everywhere he travels and it is seen by his own kind attitude to everybody around! He made our meeting a happy place and moment!!!

@michal21, nature admirer and creator of a better life for Google Maps! Her love to making a contribution to Google Maps started by accident by adding several beautiful pictures of the places she knew, but now she is all into Google Maps and LG, writing the reviews, editing the places, taking great great photos and sharing all her new knowledge with Googlers around the world!

Moran, a serious missionary in the environmental organization. She is a part of an amazing team, taking care of new plants and trees in Israel, which is sooo important not only for this country but the whole humanity! Her contribution to Google Maps is to come very soon since she is a newcomer, but her goals and the actions will speek louder through time!

And** @uavalentine ,**a person from the cold country with the warm heart who was extremely happy to become a part of this amazing Team! Being also a researcher, but for this time regarding Ukrainian immigrants in Israel due to this research these wonderful LG people were placed deep deep in my heart! Together we are a real power! Power of sharing!!!

We had a wonderful time together, exchanging our life stories, hobbies, LG and Google Maps knowledge that was the very best part of the meeting, which took place in Sarona Market, a newly renovated market complex for boutique stores, artist galleries, quaint cafes o discover local and foreign food, dinks, crafts and other goods in the heart of business quarter of Tel Aviv, surrounded by high buildings and beautiful landscape, whichin 33 original Templar buildings dating back up to more about 150 years (!!!).

Instead of going to the restaurant we have visited Sarona Museum, taking advantage of the free tours here every Friday at 11.00, explaining the history of this place since its beginning till nowadays, travelling through time due to Museum Exhibition.

It was a one in a lifetime event for each one of us, showing show much we can offer to each other and how much we can learn more!!!

You are very welcome to check out our Google Photo Album and our video too!

We would like to send our big big hug to @MoniV, kingly asked to be mentioned in our RECAP, so here we are ? Thank youuu for your kind support !!! It was so nice of you to guide us across our Israel posts!

We send our warmest regards to those**,** who couldn’t ettend this meeting, but we will wait the next one to see you too!

And we send our gratitude to all Local Guides across Connect, specially to @FaridTDF, @ermest, @PaulPavlinovich, @AdrianLunsong, from whom we learnt a lot during this Connect Live journey!

Thank youuuuu endlessly for your precious comments, sharp pieces of advice and your big big example of making this World a Better Place!!! You are doing amazing job!!! Never stop!!!

Thank you for tagging me on your meet-up, @uavalentine

I can see a lot of super Local Guides in Tel Aviv, and I am happy that you had a great time together.

I am really enjoying your photo album, I loved all the photos, from the market to the museum. Well done

BTW, wearing the moderators hat, I have to inform you that the use of the pin is not permitted by the program rules

“The Local Guides logo is a Google brand identity and is reserved for official use only. Do not use the Local Guides logo, pin, or any other Google imagery in any of your online or offline materials without expressed written permission.” Sometime you may see that Local Guides are using the pin. This is because they received it, for the personal use, on an official Local Guides event, like Connect Live.

For future meet-ups, feel free to use the Material that you can download from here: https://maps.google.com/localguides/meetup/how-to

Saludos Farid

You are welcome @uavalentine

Sometimes Moderators can appear a bit unpleasant, I know, but I wanted to avoid any trouble for you.

You did a huge job with all the photos.

Of course, this is not going to reduce the value of your great Meet-up

@uavalentine and to all the other LG who made it to the meet in Tel Aviv - you all look so amazing in the pictures and I am soooo sad that I just couldn’t make it to Tel Aviv for this meet. As I posted last week - I hope that you guys have started something great here in Israel and I for one would be honored to try and help and be part of future meets. I think that if we can form a strong group here in Israel with high level guides who have gained experience each one in his or her field of interest we should be able together help all be so much better. We can identify places around our country that need to be dealt with and try and advance them. We can try and recruit new LG’s and help them get hooked on helping others. Hope to get to meet you all and others in person in the near future.
