[RECAP] Photowalk at Rippon Lea Estate with 70's cars and gardens

A small but hardy group met on this rainy day in Melbourne to visit Rippon Lea Estate while it was originally intended as a Photowalk I noticed that the cafe at the front of the estate which is a separate business as confirmed with the workers was not on Maps so I added it. It has been applied and will be visible tomorrow. When adding my photos this evening I wondered why there were so few reviews and photos, then I realised I was adding them to a duplicate place so I’ve now put them on the right place and reported the other one as a duplicate. Doing a bit more of a search I found two more duplicate places with slightly different names and slightly wrong addresses. Those too have been reported as duplicates and no doubt will be cleaned up in time. Even though it was a bit wet at first, this just made for better photos of the gardens because wet gardens always look great. The mansion and gardens are fantastic and it was fun to walk here and fix up all the Maps data problems with this place. Afterwards we wandered down to Mocha Jo’s Burger Bar where we enjoyed great burgers and chips. An enjoyable lunch, even if it was at 4.30pm :).

Turnout Anthea, Ananda, Charles, Terry and me!

I won’t upload all the photos here, the best of them have been added to Rippon Lea Estate so go look there (link above) :).

My next walk is the Connect Live 36 Walk in San Francisco on 15th of October meeting in Union Square at the Love statue at 1pm.

Great recap @PaulPavlinovich ! I really enjoyed reading it. Oh and also I’m a big fan of linners. If you are wondering what that is, well it’s a hybrid between lunch and dinner.

@PaulPavlinovich So it became a map editing meetup? I am I correct. It is difficult to find photos you and your meetup partners added to the location as there are over 200 photos.

Yes there are a lot of photos @AnuradhaP - I’ll include a few more here

@KlaudiyaG the only downside is that I had forgotten it was my turn to cook at home so there was a little bit of grumpiness - I’m cooking tonight instead

@NirmalTeja yes it was still a photowalk but so many Maps issues were uncovered that needed to be fixed
