RECAP - Photowalk 09 Storefront Photos in Pune

When places have photos on Google Maps of what they look like from the outside it helps those who are going there for the first time to locate them easily.

Here’s the storefront photo of the PNG Jewelry showroom in Aundh, Pune  that shows:

  1. An accessible entrance,
  2. Various offers including a gold subscription scheme,
  3. QR codes to scan without entering the showroom,
  4. Ambiance and seating inside the showroom,
  5. Parking space,
  6. Part of a tactile path for the visually impaired, and
  7. Glass showcase with sample jewelry on display.
  • all in a single frame.

During this meetup on 19-February-2022, I tried to capture as many storefront photos of businesses in the Aundh-Pashan-Baner areas of Pune.

Here’s the meetup invite link:

Here’s the banner photo of the meetup

Here’s the storefront photo of Starbucks in Aundh, Pune  that shows:

  1. Entrance is not accessible,
  2. Parking space for 2-wheelers,
  3. Part of a tactile path for the visually impaired, and
  4. A dustbin trash can.
  5. Cofee advertisement with a photo on the glass door.
  6. Notice about no entry without a mask.

The storefront photo of HDFC Bank, Nagras Road Branch in Pune  shows:

  1. A ramp for wheelchair accessibility,
  2. Parking space for 2-wheelers,
  3. Accessible entrance through the glass door,
  4. Dustbin trash can.
  5. Various services available like ordering a checkbook, transferring money, updating contacts, etc.
  6. The various bank schemes which are available in the bank.

The storefront photo of Roopsangam collection cloth sore in Pune  shows:

  1. No ramp nor any railings for the staircase,
  2. Parking space for 2-wheelers,
  3. No accessible entrance through the main door,
  4. Placard about products on sale.
  5. Various manikins displaying the sample cloth available.

The storefront photo of Pharmacy of the Medipoint Hospital in the Aundh area of Pune  shows:

  1. The store is not accessible,
  2. Has parking space for 2-wheelers,
  3. The store has a takeaway counter.
  4. A dustbin trash can.
  5. Various products on display in the glass window etc.

I tried to capture photos that clearly showed the entrance, the name and details of the shop, and the width of the pavement around it among other details.

Conclusion

I am sure such storefront photos will help Googe Maps users a lot when locating the shop easily especially when they are located amidst a crowd of other shops on Nagras Road which has evolved from a humble walkway to an extra-wide and superrich shopping street over the decades.

Thank you, dear @Rohan10 for the comments.

Yes, I have personally found that storefront photos help a lot to know the place before reaching there.

But many times the problem is the storefronts too change a lot many times.

Another outstanding meetup, friend @TusharSuradkar

Your Store-front photos are appealing.

Notable narrations too - appreciate your dedication.

PS: -
Just for your info: I visited the meetup invitation link -

there it says: 0 went - is it a mistake or bug?

Also, another, a few more seconds the FRAME of the photo of PNG Brothers could have more clean…just a personal thought…

What do you say?

Thank you @TravellerG for your valuable response - I appreciate it a lot.

Yes, no one joined this Photowalk so I was all alone.

Also, I agree about the PNG photo - I took it against sunlight behind the shop, so the upper portion was too bright compared to the portion seen in the uploaded photo. So I cropped it.
