It feels like it was just yesterday that I was at Connect Live 2018!!! But no, it’s 2019 and time to sum it all up!!!
Right after Connect Live, last October, I joined a conversation with @AdrianLunsong and several others about doing something new for Local Guides. Another way to connect with our fellow Local Guides no matter where they were. This is truly a worldwide community of like minded people and we enjoy each other’s company. How to get that feeling to the furthest corners of the Local Guide World?!
So we talked endlessly and with a lot of research and collaboration, the Go Loco Podcast made it’s debut on January 9, 2019!!! We now have a grand total of 8 episodes, available wherever you listen to podcasts……or at least the 10 platforms supported on Anchor. We have a very diverse group of listeners, much like the demographic make up of the Local Guides program. It’s hard work editing it all together but I’m pretty proud of the new baby!
I’ve also been playing with 360 photos and video using the Ricoh Theta V camera we were given at Connect Live 2019. It’s something I’ve been playing with since I got my first Ricoh Theta (the M15 in baby blue) in the beginning of 2015. Even using it to take photos and record 360 video in Cuba when I visited there for a Master’s Swim Meet in April of 2015. You can view all my 360 content here:

I enjoy traveling as a Local Guide. Anywhere I go, there’s a good chance that I know someone through the program that lives there. My most recent adventures in Tokyo, Japan with @YasumiKikuchi are some of my best times spent abroad! I just returned two weeks ago so I haven’t had a chance to share a ton from my trip but Yasumi never sleeps, Lol!!!
