[Recap] Local Guides Photoworkshop 6

This Sunday just marked the 6th Virtual Photoworkshop for Local Guides and we’re getting quite deep into the topic now. I’m very pleased to say that the workshops continue to have a great attendance with many regulars. I want to address something up front before I get into the recap, each week the participants submit photos for a task that is set during the workshop, homework if you like. This week I was amazed, the participants were asked to share photos of food and wow - there are a huge number of good images. I’m really proud of everyone. You can see their efforts in this Google Photos album.

Now onto the recap, this week there were two fantastic foodies who came along to help out, both of whom are present here on Connect. @Jesi told us all about her methods for photographing food with many examples of yummy treats along with some excellent advice. @MaxPlusFood showcased his inspiration snapfluence.com and walked us through his creative process with examples and advice. Max was up first and opened the workshop with Jesi rounding out the night and setting the task for the participants. I just held up the plank in the middle and walked people through shooting images at the different times of day and what that means for the light and your images.

If you’d like to take a look you’re welcome to check out the slide deck and or watch the video of the entire workshop on YouTube.

This week’s attendees who put their names into the chat were

Adrian Lunsong, Ananda Sim, Ania JezKis, Anil Singh, Anshuk Mitra, Ashok Kumar Patel, Christina P, Durojaiye olusanya Olatunde, Ewaade 3A, Falguni Paleja, Feliciana Xie, G-rar F’ce, Guru Krishna Priya Sreenath, Vikram Bishnoi, Isha, Jaison, Jesica Lichtensztein, Jessica Gramp, Justine Edward, Krazy Kreatives, Maria Ngo, Max Gross, Mukul Rahman, Munawar, NitaBC, Raju Royal, Riya Mathew, Roberto Ardila González, Rosy Kohli, Sanya Oluwadare, Shreeya Barai, Sovita Dahal, Stuart Cook. @MSulaiman thank you :slightly_smiling_face:

It was great to have you present @Jesi I love your food photography, you’re a natural at it. Lots of great suggestions. I’ve also noticed on photowalks that you’re starting to see shapes and colours before you see the thing.

@FalguniP You’re welcome and Sunday is going to be fun - I’d better finish off the workshop. I’ve worked out everything I need to talk about, but I need to match up some sample shots so the people know what I’m talking about :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks @rajuroyal
