Hello Local Guides!
I hope everybody is well in this global Pandemic time, take care of yourself and stay safe.
Today I will share with you all my last Meet-up RECAP which was Let’s Support Small Businesses-P7 in BhimruliHost by @KamalHossenR Co-Host @MukulR held on 20,August ,2021 atBhimruli.
It is a well-known fact that small businesses have been hit hard by the global COVID-19 epidemic. Similarly, the Floating Guava Market in the Vimruli region of Barishal also been affected by the attraction. Guava growers have been unable to sell their Guava properly due to the lockdown from full-July to mid-August. The best time to collect and sell guava is July-August, this is the best time to cultivate our country. At this opportune time, COVID-19 has caused extensive damage to their businesses as they have been locked up across the country. To alleviate some of their losses, I hosted a meet-up there so that we could go there to do some contribute and they get benefit through our contribution.

This Meet-up was a special moment for the host, co-host and attendees who contributed to this place and Support Small Business.
I am really happy to be able to host a Complete Meet-up at the popular floating guava market in Bangladesh and largest in South Asia. And thanks to @MukulR who came to Barishal from Dhaka to participate in my Meet-up and his helping-ness mind on Support Small Business my meetup became lively and fulfilling.
Caption: On the morning of the meet-up, we met for the first time and had tea together.
According to the previous plan, we gathered at Barishal River Port. From there we bought some cup tea from a small tea shop we had tea and left for Kuriana. We leave very early in the morning so that we can reach Bhimruli within our allotted time, Because our venue is so far away.

We reserved this vehicle for our travel convenience and since there is no direct transport system from Barishal Launch Ghat to Atghar.
This car was a perfect package for all of us. We all enjoyed the trip together a lot. We didn’t even realize that a journey of more than an hour had ended very happily with lot of fun.

It was raining lightly as we approached Atghar, and we reached the Atghar Bazar through that rain. There is a school on the west side of Atghar Bazar in which we take shelter to protect ourselves from the rain. As soon as the rain stopped, we had breakfast at a small restaurant next to the market. We rented an engine-driven boat and set off for Bhimruli.

Our contribution in this Meet-up:
We have 5 new places we added on Google Maps and many recent photos have been added in different places.
Due to the lockdown there were no customers other than the local customers in the vicinity of Bhimruli, so the business situation was very bad. The lockdown has ended and customers from different parts of the country coming here to purchase their essentials. We arrived at Bhimruli Bazar and made some contributions on land where these small traders and added their business on Google Maps. We have made these contributions so that those who are now coming from different parts of the country can easily find what they need by searching on Google Maps and those who have local small businesses can sale more.
We spent some time there and their traders went around the market to inspect the situation. According to the local people’s opinion, their sales are a little better on Fridays and not so much on other days. So they look forward to Friday all week long.

We got back on the boat from that market again. We buy guavas by visiting different places in the floating guava market. We bought about 40 kg of guava for all of us. I hope Small business has benefited through our purchase.

We get tired of the intense sun and heat as we contribute and travel to different places, so for refreshment we choose a secluded place to take a bath where boat traffic is very low. When we get to our destination we jump into the water. As soon as it seemed like no other place in the world where there was such peace, the water was so cold. It was a very comfortable bath and we all had a lot of fun and excitement that we can’t forget. From here we refreshed and we boarded the boat again for the purpose of Atghar.

People from nearby villages come to the traditional Atghar Bazaar on Friday to sell their farm vegetables, groceries, fish, fruits and Sweets from far and wide.
As soon as we reach Atagh Bazar, we go around the market and contribute on Google Maps to check the open-close time.
Notice that all fresh goods are sold in this market. So anyone will like the quality of the product. So that Many of us have bought traditional sweets from there and some of them have been taken for home.
Hopefully small business has benefited us if we make some money through this little shopping at that historic market. Hopefully this small business has benefited from us through this little purchase.
I think it is important for a shop to contribute to Google Maps as well as make purchases from that shop so that I can get a clear idea of the quality, service and price. I am able to write a detailed review of the experience I have had through this purchase.

It is time for Jumma prayers to make contributions by visiting shops in different neighborhoods. Then we perform the Friday prayers in the Atghar Jame Mosque. At the end of the prayers we all feel we are very hungry. There we find a small restaurant next to the Mosque where we could eat and drink. Our menu consisted of chicken, hilsa fish, eggs and pulses. The restaurant was very low quality but the food tasted very good and the price was also very cheap. After eating and drinking in the restaurant we had a short discussion session and our meet-up activities ended there.
