This is recap of my last Meet-up which Let’s find Accessible places was happened on 09.10.2020.

For the first time, 4 local guides of Barisal joined an accessibility meeting. Although our presence was less than comparatively, we have taken this Meet-Up honor. It was the best moment when we were walking through the road and questioned some locks and answered them and I think this accessible Meet-up getting successful.

We started our Meet-up from Barisal-Amantganj. We all meet in the afternoon 4pm. At first we discussed our goals and what our activities.

We started walking from Amanatganj and stopped at Bibi’s pond. After resting there for a while, we started walking again and stopped at Muktijuddha Park. In this run we make various contributions add missing place, add photos, reviews, answers to questions, up-to-date information & profile reports.

We noticed that there is no ramp and minimum accessibility for entering wheelchairs in the most building and business places. Because most of the buildings in this city are old and many people are not aware and don’t know about disables conscious rights.
However, it is also partly again in the accessible elevator in the absence of accessible entry ramp in new buildings. Although we have been few accessible in our Meet-up, But we got some accessible buildings under construction.

Those of us who are able can go anywhere easily if we want but disables people cannot go anywhere they want. I am so proud to be able to fulfill this small effort for the Disables in my hometown yesterday.
