Caption: some photos of Virtual Meet Up

First of all I would like to say thank you everyone for attending on this virtual meet up! Knowledge Sharing: Rules and Regulations of Local Guides, organized by Tangerang LG - Indonesia. The attendee were approximately 50 persons from 11 countries! Indonesia, Netherlands, Malaysia, India, Kyrgyzstan, Nigeria, Cameroon, Bangladesh, Egypt, Bulgaria and USA. And we also happy that @AngieYC was able to join us in this meet up, she is Indonesian born local guides (also Google Moderator) who works at Eastern Europe, terima kasih sudah hadir mbak Angie

Although we did several local virtual meet-ups, this is my first experience as a host for global virtual meet up and first time for Tangerang Local Guides too. It was awesome experience! As we can have the interactions with so many local guides from other countries. This topic of this meet up: Rules and Regulations of Local Guides, was inspired by our conversation in the our group chats about local guides activities and its rules. Therefore we decided to conduct this virtual meet up with this special topic which might be useful for everyone as a local guides.

This is the last virtual meet up of Ramadhan Festive Local Virtual Meet Up series which organized by Tangerang LG, we conducted every week during Ramadhan with various topic.

This time, we invited two speakaers, @BudiFXW and @NunungAfuah . Budi is one of senior LG from Bogor. West Java Indonesia and connect live 2018 attendee. He has lot of experience and actively writing in connect also contributing in google maps. While Nunung is well known as one of Connect Moderator from Indonesia living in Blitar, East Java Indonesia. Nunung also Local Guides Summit 2017, Connect Live attendee 2018, 2019. And we have a super master of quiz @Radjasitanggang which made this meet up more FUN with some *cam prizes a.k.a camera prize instead door prizes because there was no door  . However this time the cam prizes only for Indonesia colleagues.

In the beginning of the session, Budi was made a disclaimer that he is just like everyone else, a local guides which happy to share his experienced to everyone. He presented in Bahasa Indonesia but the presentation material was in English (slide presentation is available in the photo album)

Budi presented about the “Common Local Guides Policy Disobedience” which highlighted 8 important points for us as a local guides. These are the 8 points:

  1. Spam & Fake Content,
  2. Off Topic,
  3. Restricted Content,
  4. Illegal Content,
  5. Offensive Content,
  6. Dangerous & Derogatory Content,
  7. Impersonation and
  8. Conflict of Interest.

Before second speaker, we did a Quiz which hosted by Radja, an awesome quiz master. Everyone was so excited because we prepared some interesting Cam Prizes. The quiz based on the materials of the speaker, to make sure everyone is following Budi’s presentation.

Move to the next session with the second speaker - Nunung. Nunung was delivered her session in English and Indonesian. She is a Connect Moderator from Indonesia, she lived in Blitar, East Java Indonesia. Nunung was shared about her journey as a local guides became a Connect Moderator. It was long journey with persistent and consistent effort. She was inspired by first Indonesia Connect Moderator @iyudhi who is based in USA right now. Her story was so inspiring, as not many people become connect moderator. She also encourages everyone to do the same like her. Be persistent! Thanks Nunung.

Before continuing to the next session for Quizzes and Q&A session, Angie was sharing her appreciation about this virtual meet up which is not only informative but also FUN. She enjoyed attending this virtual meet up. Even though she loves to see everyone, she has to leave early. Once again, thank you for coming and your active participation mbak Angie.

Now the second quiz with Radja, which is more interactive with other attractive prizes too! All prizes are individually sponsored by several members of LG Tangerang. Thank you all, we really appreciate!

Last but not least, I would like to thank you to all speakers, all local guides who is attending and participating this virtual meet up. And Thank You So Much for my fellow local guides who supporting this virtual meet up from beginning until the end, this successful meet up based on team’s effort Miftah: @360bymiftah Raja: @Radjasitanggang Putri: @Mietektekpedes

Very last :grinning:

Although this was a great virtual meet up, there are some area to improve. Therefore we did a feed survey to improve our quality for our next virtual meet up, we value your inputs and comments.Thank you so much, we received 27 response out of 46 ++ participants.

Result from the survey:

  • 20% participants from outside of Indonesia
  • 80% attend entire Virtual Meet Up
  • 25% first timer of Virtual Meet Up
  • 88% found useful information from this Virtual Meet Up
  • 95.5% interested to attend upcoming Virtual Meet Up from Tangerang LG

Since we delivered this Meet Up not fully English, we do apologize to fellow LGs from other countries for this inconvenience. Definitely we will use fully English for our next Global Virtual Meet Up.

Hai @FalguniP .

I want to say so so so sorry to you,

I should deliver the presentation in Bahasa Indonesia rather than in English.

I am very concern about so many Local Guides from Indonesia get suspended because they do not understand the need to follow Local GuidesProgramme Regulation.

They think Google Maps is another kind of social media.

Many Local Guides contact me in person about the Regulation, so I must explain carefully in Bahasa Indonesia.

Next time I hope @doc_dells , @360bymiftah and @Mietektekpedes will be conduct virtual meet-ups in English.

Keep calm, stay healthy and always be happy

Everyone is very special.

We have started understanding some basic words thanks to @doc_dells @AnikSetyawati and @Ddimitra For helping us understand some new words.

And we were all got so much tips & tricks of how to write a good review. As for the bahasa, i wonder if there any teleprompter apps that can also interprete language maybe sometime in the future that we can use in gmeet? Or maybe we can suggest that feature to google
