[Recap] Karachi 36 Photo walk

PPaHere I go

On this very special occasion of 23rd March (Resolution Day), I began my Karachi 36 Walk which was a part of the world-wide decentralised walk organised by @PaulPavlinovich by visiting one of the most serene, bizarre and bustling parks of Karachi named Pakistan Maritime Museum park. The fact that makes this park special is that it’s full of Pakistan Navy framework and models including a model wrecked ship, a lighthouse and a submarine. It has a museum situated inside that contains ancient relics as well.

One of the things that had actually left me astonished was the fact that the names of some of the martyrs were engraved on a wall inside the museum.

Another fact that shocked me was witnessing these fascinating art and woodworks. Below is the album for rest of the taken photos of this contemporary place. Check it out for sure!

From there on, I went to one of the most famous and renowned palaces in Karachi widely known as “The Mohatta Palace”. I don’t even have words to describe the utter beauty of this palace both externally as well as internally. Want to see more? Check this out The Mohatta Palace Photo Album

My next stop was Bagh Ibn-e-Qasim where I was joined by @KashifMisidia and co and was left astonished to see and acknowledge the vastness of this garden/park. The joy I felt, it is indescribable. We were joined by Drew Binsky

As well as by the current mayor of Karachi who had inaugurated this serene garden. Make sure to check the album out below is the link posted.

I stopped by Ocean Tower and saw how Pakistan Day was thoroughly being celebrated at this mall as well as patriotic songs were being played.

The trip followed and we found ourselves to be at this famous central point of Karachi where we all stood by, took pics, shared things and info regarding Google Maps and loved every bit of it

Last but not least, we all went to the mausoleum famously known as Mazar-e-Quaid and took some shots. Although there weren’t many ongoing celebrations as we had expected, we still managed to celebrate this special occasion at the fullest

We finally had dinner together to end that amusing day in a perfect manner

I’d like to thank all the local guides who had joined us for this wonderful walk which made me explore so many amazing places that I had never see before. Make sure to check all those albums out for more photos.

Simply loved this walk and looking forward to many more.

One more thing I’d like to share with you @PaulPavlinovich . I feel so good to tell you how I and @KashifMisidia are working together to regroup and reconstruct the Local Guides community together. It wasn’t as reunited as it has become now. We’ve worked so hard for this and now it has started to pay off. This walk was just the perfect start for our journey. Wish us both luck to further accumulate all of the local guides together and work hard for the community.

Hey Hassan,

I hail from Karachi and I never knew that Local Guides community exist in Pakistan too. Is there any platform where we can sign up ourselves (a fb page or something of the sort) so we can extend the network?

Hi Maria,

haha well, I didn’t know that either until recently. I’m afraid there aren’t any particular platforms that I know about where we can sign up but there’s already a Facebook community you can join that as well as we have our very own WhatsApp group where we share so many tips and information regarding meetups and other stuff. If you’d like to join then please share your contact details privately to me on my Facebook. Thank you for your concern
