I and @AkSakei are excited to share a recap of our recent Local Guides Meetup in Ho Chi Minh City, which took place on November 1st, 2025 at Ô Newsstand Coffee (292/15 Dien Bien Phu Street, HCMC, Vietnam).

Casual, Open, and Friendly Atmosphere
We had a total of 20 participants — a wonderful mix of Local Guides from different levels, community coordinators, and even contributors active on the support.google.com platform.
The meetup was designed as a casual, open discussion, encouraging everyone to share freely — regardless of where they’re from, their Local Guides levels, or personal backgrounds. It was a truly diverse and welcoming crowd!
What We Discussed
During the meetup, we shared ideas and experiences around topics such as:
• How each of us has different ways to enjoy and contribute on Google Maps.
• Ways to correct and improve map information for better accuracy.
• Tips for writing meaningful reviews and ratings that help others.
• Experiences in editing business details or dealing with claimed business issues.
• How we can collaborate as a community to support one another and make Maps better for everyone.
Everyone shared their personal interests, stories, and hobbies related to Google Maps. It was inspiring to see how each person contributes in their own unique way to help others discover great local places.
A Growing Local Guides Community in Vietnam
This meetup reminded us how vibrant and diverse the Local Guides community in Vietnam has become. Participants exchanged ideas, made new connections, and left feeling motivated to continue contributing.
We’re already looking forward to the next meetup — and we hope to see even more Local Guides joining us to share, learn, and have fun together!
